Dress Down and Support Cancer Research
Relay For Life
 Marshall Elementary will be a part of the Relay for Life event which will be held April 23rd at Clark Middle School.  To raise money for the American Cancer Society, each student who donates $2.00 will be allowed to wear jeans and a non-uniform shirt, Friday, March 19th. For more information about this event,visit: www.relayforlife.org/orangeburgsc

Grant from International Paper
Marshall Elementary Library received a grant for $2,268.13 from International Paper Company.  The grant money has been used to purchase books in our library.  Come by and check out our new collection of books. 

Some of the books we purchased were Dan Gutman's books.  We can't ever keep these books in the library.  This assortment will definitely add to our collection.  Thank you, International Paper. We really appreciate this opportunity.

Congratulations!!
The Council of Exceptional Children selected Ms. Wendy Richardson to be SC's Exceptional Teacher of the Year.  The award was given Friday, February 26th in Myrtle Beach at the South Carolina Council of Exceptional Children Conference. Ms. Richardson will be submitting a national application and attending an all expense paid trip to the 2011 national CEC conference in Washington, DC.
